The property

The place known as Le Buisson is located just 4 Km from Briare and 2km from Châtillon-sur-Loire (shops and services).

La ferme du Buisson was built in the 1850s in the bank of the of the old Loire lateral canal. It belonged for a time to the compagny of the Lords of the canal, and served as a relay for the draft horses that towed the boats. sur la berge de l’ancien canal latéral à la Loire. The farm ceased to be a working farm several years ago. It is a haven of peace and tranquility, beside the Canal lateral à la Loire.

The “Loire à vélo” route is located on the other bank of the canal. The fishing area “le route du Black” is also very close. Animal photographers will also find here a particularly suitable place for bird watching.

There is a large enclosed parking area for your vehicle and an old barn for your bikes or motocycles.

Briare can be reach by train from Paris-Bercy (1h30). It aslo have easy access off Highway 77 or road N7.
Our little town in the south of Loiret, is at the crossroads of the natural areas Puisaye, Berry and Sologne. We have local museums and a small tourist train which brings you to the heart of this charming city. There, the Loire and two canals meet for the pleasure of the eyes.
Nearby you will be able to discover Guédelon medieval building site, Colette’s museum in Saint-Sauveur en Puisaye, the Faiencerie de Gien, Sully-sur-Loire’s castle, the Romanesque abbey-church of Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire and the famous 7 lock staircase of Rogny: a few suggestions over here.

Peaceful, tree-lined walking paths are easily accessible from the property. The Loire is just a few hundred metres away. We lend bikes on request. It is also possible to discover the Loire or the canals by canoe-kayak or by traditional boat with our partners. Feel free to ask us.
